The Cat with Seven Addresses – What the Frame Leaves Out
When a print goes up on the wall, our eyes go straight to the picture. Who remembers the hands that laid the paper on the press?
About the book and trailer
In the workshop, a cat rests its front paws against a wicker chair. Beside it stands the press. A few tools still lie on the bench. One hand lines up the paper, another corrects a small mistake. In the end, a single print passes from hand to hand. The people who made it possible cannot all fit inside the frame.
Mehmet Gökhan İnce’s original digital comic, The Cat with Seven Addresses, invites us to look at that picture again. How do we give someone credit for their work while respecting the part of their life they choose to keep to themselves?
