About the book and trailer
Tavi arrives at the repair shop without a broken toy. Unable to breathe fire, he thinks he is the thing that needs fixing. Mina cannot cast spells, and her new workshop has bills to pay. Working together makes room for the dragon’s unexpected ability. Their jobs include an overheating oven, a toy bird that has lost its familiar walk, and a tower clock needed for the festival.
As time runs short, the prospect of extra money competes with promises already made. Finishing every job does not mean both partners are doing well. Hearing a limit, taking a break or offering an apology can require as much care as setting gears in motion.
