About the book and trailer
Leon, Arda, Eren, Cem and Deniz enter an independent futsal tournament after years of finding themselves on the sidelines. Yet Five Off the Bench needs more than matching shirts and a list of names. School, work, missed training sessions and unspoken frustrations all follow them onto the court. Mehmet Gökhan İnce’s original graphic novel explores belonging through the daily effort of making space for someone else. They want to win matches. First, they must learn how to recognise one another within the game they hope to share.
